‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 9 spoilers: How does Alex set off Callie?

Thursday night’s new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” is not all going to be doom and gloom in the wake of the plane crash that has really dominated the past two episodes. As a matter of fact, we are going to see something that is a more than welcome change at this point: someone who is not only happy, but trying to make some changes in order to improve their life. Of course, we are talking here about one Dr. Alex Karev.

In the latest sneak peek below for Thursday night’s new episode “Love the One You’re With,” you can see Karev do just about everything in his power in order to try and hide the fact that he has some “feelings” for new intern Jo (Camilla Luddington). The problem here? Callie knows this guy better than that, and also knows just about every trick in the book. When she calls him out on it, this really leads to a pretty funny moment since she is one of the few people out there who really knows what he does from experience. (It also leads to a line about him being in part the reason why Callie is “with girls” now.)

We have known for some time now that Alex’s personal life was going to receive a makeover this season, and this story is not going to be something that is just around for an episode or two. Expect these two to be a major part of each other’s lives for the weeks to come, and we’re personally hoping that this is the romance that makes it for the guy. After all, doesn’t he deserve that after what he has been through over the years.
