The Blacklist season 7, Chicago PD, and more NBC fall premiere dates
We’ll get to breaking down some of the premiere dates further as things go along, but before we go into it, a quick reminder — things are subject to change. Also, all times listed are Eastern Standard, so adjust accordingly depending on where you are.
Monday, September 23
8:00 – The Voice
10:00 – Bluff City Law (new drama)
It’s interesting to us that NBC is using one of their best lead-ins on a legal show, given that we don’t really see a huge amount of enthusiasm for these in 2019. Jimmy Smits is a great actor, but we don’t have a ton of confidence in Bluff City just yet. (Also, note that this upcoming season of The Voice is the first without Adam Levine.)
Thursday, September 24
8:00 – The Voice
9:00 – This Is Us
10:00 – New Amsterdam
Wednesday, September 25
8:00 – Chicago Med
9:00 – Chicago Fire
10:00 – Chicago PD
Thursday, September 26
8:00 – Superstore
8:30 – Perfect Harmony (new comedy)
9:00 – The Good Place
9:30 – Sunnyside (new comedy)
10:00 – Law & Order: SVU
If you didn’t know, The Good Place is entering its final season and we are admittedly as surprised as anyone with this. This is a show that could’ve gone on for a while, but NBC is obviously trying to make sure the show ends on the highest possible note.
Friday, September 27
9:00 – Dateline
Friday, October 4
8:00 – The Blacklist
So why wait until October 4 in order to launch the new season of The Blacklist? A part of this simply has to do with the network commonly preferring to launch their Friday shows a little later in the fall once temperatures cool out a little. Sometimes, they also like to use the first Friday of the fall in order to promote one of their new shows in the fall season.

For those curious, there isn’t any word as of yet as to whether or not The Blacklist season 7 is going to be the final one, but we’re certainly hoping that there’s at least one more year beyond this upcoming one. It still delivers the goods story-wise and the ratings were solid following its recent move to Fridays.
