Big Brother 21’s Holly Allen has TV connection: Bachelor alum Luke Pell

Holly Allen

When Holly Allen was revealed as a part of the Big Brother 21 cast this morning, her name immediately stuck out — and for good reason. After all, she has a history being associated with reality TV already, and it has to do very much with The Bachelor alum Luke Pell.

According to multiple reports, Holly and Luke first started dating prior to him going on Bachelor Winter Games, but eventually got back together following the infamous split and “ghosting” incident that happened on that show with him and Stassi. (Apparently, Luke still had feelings for his ex rather than for Stassi.) Holly became a well-known Bachelor Nation figure for some time during the process, and at one point even walked red carpets with Pell before the two eventually broke up again around this time last year.

There is a LOT of information out there about the relationship and the split and if you want to learn more about that then we suggest that you head over to the Reality Steve Podcast since he spoke to her at length all about it, including some of the messy parts of the breakup and some of the issues that supposedly surfaced during their relationship. (Obviously, it’s just her side, Luke didn’t have the most fantastic public relationship history even before that thanks to Winter Games). She’s already got an Instagram with more than 40,000 followers, so she’s coming onto this show with at least a reasonable amount of notoriety. The same goes for where she works at Malibu Wine Safaris, which is basically what it sounds like. You get to meet some zebras and giraffes, while at the same time enjoying some great wine. It is officially a really strange world we live in…

So what is a somewhat-known reality TV figure from The Bachelor doing on Big Brother? We certainly wonder, especially since it doesn’t seem like Holly is a huge Big Brother fan or has even seen a single season. We almost wonder if she was added late to the casting process and was just scouted somewhere — or, that someone in casting was at least aware of her. She’s such an unusual addition to the show and it’s one of the few times within a non-celebrity season where someone has been this familiar right off the bat.
