What do we know right now? It’s as simple as this: NCIS: Los Angeles seasons typically start filming in middle-to-late July. It’s important that the show does get off to a good start in these months, mostly for one reason: Getting ahead. It takes more than a week in order to make an episode of television, even a show like NCIS: Los Angeles that operates almost like a well-oiled machine. Because of this, production needs to start early to make certain that all of the episodes are properly produced and edited far ahead of time. Even with NCIS: LA filming some sequences for season 11 over the past month or two, there’s still a lot of work that still needs to be done.

Odds are, we’ll get a better sense of the OFFICIAL start date at some point early next month. This can be the sort of info that is a little bit hard to find on the outside looking in, mostly because there’s no obligation for anyone to announce it. Usually, we find out due to either a crew member or an actor announcing it on social-media, and sometimes, you get a message or two from set. Even during the early days of production, engagement is key — it is the best way to ensure that you get your viewers hooked early on what’s coming!

NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 more than likely premieres at some point this September/early October. CBS, if they do what they’ve done in the past, will announce this official date later this summer. At the forefront of season 11 is trying to address the global crisis introduced in the season 10 finale … but can we get some closure for Mac and Harm in the process? If you were to ask around, you’d most likely be told that this is the storyline most likely to have caused shouting earlier this spring. (Sure, most of it was from JAG fans, but they constitute a good percentage of the audience.)
