Power season 6 premiere to be held at Madison Square Garden

PowerWe know that the Power season 6 premiere is going to be coming on Sunday, August 25, but before that happens, the show is going big. As a matter of fact, it’s going to the most famous arena in the entire country in Madison Square Garden.

On Tuesday, August 20, the show is going to have a big premiere event featuring none other than many of the show’s cast and crew members. There will be a performance by executive producer 50 Cent and also some surprise guests; presumably, there’s also going to be a chance to check out the season 6 premiere for everyone in attendance. Want to get some tickets? Then head over to the link here right now!

Given that Power season 6 is going to be the final season of the show, we certainly give Starz a good bit of credit for deciding to push this premiere event as much as they are! They don’t have to do this, given that fundamentally, they’ve already got themselves a fantastic series that has had itself an incredible run. Yet, they still see a lot of viability in this show and its brand — we know that there are some spin-off ideas out there, and while the 15-episode final season could be done by the end of this year, there’s still a lot of viability in this franchise. We view everything that Starz is doing here as a recognition that there’s a whole lot more that they are going to be able to do.

Below, CarterMatt has the official Power season 6 synopsis if you want a greater sense on the story:

“Power” Season 6 picks up with James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Hardwick) seeking vengeance. His former drug partner and brother in arms must pay for the ultimate betrayal. Rocked to his core by the perfidiousness and cruelties of those he once called his family, Ghost devotes himself to one notion: Success is the best revenge, with all intentions of getting both. Ghost aims to get even with Tommy (Sikora), get the Queens Child Project built to consecrate Raina’s legacy, and finally achieve a thriving legitimate lifestyle with no criminal strings attached. Ghost’s need to wrest satisfaction and happiness from this world by any means necessary – is the most dangerous he’s ever faced. As the Feds grow closer to convicting him, Ghost must remain vigilant toward those wanting to take him down for his past criminal enterprises.

Power season 6 is going to be a story of pain and, beyond that, a chance to really dive into this world and see the true consequences of Ghost’s actions. From virtually the start of the series, it’s been clear that eventually, he was going to have to pay the piper for some of what he’s done. You can’t ever escape your past, even when he wishes that Ghost would actually become just that — a ghost.
