‘Gossip Girl’ series finale spoilers: Katie Cassidy returns!

As if the series finale of “Gossip Girl” was not exciting enough to begin with, we now have some more news to share: we are going to see some old favorites stopping by for some episodes airing a little bit later in the year.

So who specifically are we talking about this time when it comes to the CW show? It’s none other than Katie Cassidy! Multiple sources have confirmed that the current start of “Arrow” (which launched to one of the network’s best audiences in years) is going to be coming back on the show for its series finale, and she’s not the only one. There are going to be all sorts of cameo appearances over the next several weeks from characters that the show has not featured in some time, but most of them are staying under wraps in order to keep the element of surprise intact. One person we probably won’t be seeing again? Taylor Momsen. The actress responsible for Jenny has spent much of the past several weeks with her band The Pretty Reckless in Asia, and she seems to have no desire at all to get back into acting, even more one final stint as a character who was once an important part of the show.

There are really only nine episodes left for the show before you have to say goodbye, so we wouldn’t expect the show to necessarily linger too long on Cassidy or some of the other guest stars that we are going to see. After all, there is only going to be so much time in order to tell the primary story.
