Animal Kingdom season 4 episode 4 spoilers: Who is Angela after?
Yet, you’ll see throughout episode 4 (entitled “Tank,” and airing a little bit later this month) that Angela is not the only character within this world with a plan. As a matter of fact, this episode should prove itself to be a clash of many of them, as what Smurf wants will collide increasingly with what is going on with J and some others. The more that Smurf sniffs around, the more it will become apparent that J needs to be his own person — even if that means fighting back at every possible step.

The Cody boys are thrown by Smurf’s (Ellen Barkin) increasingly unnerving behavior as she shows up in unexpected places. J (Finn Cole) realizes he needs to set his own plans in motion if he wants to lead the family. Deran (Jake Weary) gets disturbing news from an old friend; and Pope (Shawn Hatosy) struggles to resist the advances of Angela (Emily Deschanel).

The more this season goes along, the more that we anticipate some of the mysteries of this season becoming clear — including just how long it takes before the stand-off between J and Smurf to become a war and also just how much trouble Angela is going to cause. Also, whether or not Adrian actually ends up turning some of the Codys in given that for now, there’s at least a reasonable threat of some of this happening. It’s hard to say for certain just what Adrian is capable of … but we know that the people all around him are absolutely applying as much pressure as they absolutely can.
Even after season 4, though, there’s still a lot beyond the horizon. This is a long season and with that, there’s a lot to address.
