Is Hawaii Five-0 new tonight on CBS? What’s coming next
Obviously, it goes without saying that we wish there was a chance to dive more into what we saw at the end of last week’s episode, with McGarrett (or Jerry) possibly being shot in the closing seconds. It’s the sort of thing that you have to demand a little bit more closure on, and rest assured that you’ll of course get it. The bad news is, quite simply, that you aren’t getting it this week. Last week was the season finale, and there is probably not going to be a new episode between now and September.
When the series does pick up, the #1 thing that you can obviously assume is coming is a chance to get a little bit more in the way of closure on the cliffhanger. We personally don’t think that McGarrett’s going to die, but he could be wounded and have to recover. Of course, you could say the same thing about Jerry! This is what makes this cliffhanger so intense and dramatic.
So we expect a conclusion to the cliffhanger soon within the season 10 premiere, and of course beyond that, we’re anticipating that there is going to be at least some sort of closure soon after that when it comes to the shooter — think very soon. She’s in freakin’ Five-0 HQ! It’s hard to imagine that she’s going to be able to go all that far.

As for what else we’re going to have a chance to see, fingers crossed that this new season offers up some more opportunities to get Junior and Tani together — the show’s taking small steps forward with the two, building that friendship and then seeing if something more happens for the two of them down the line. Meanwhile, it would be nice to see more in terms of Grover’s family and also seeing a couple of good Danny spotlights in general. The focus of this show is always going to be the characters, so we really don’t anticipate that changing at any point in the near future. It’s all about just finding a way to spotlight the right people, generate excitement, and keep them coming back.
