NCIS: Los Angeles season 11: Catherine Bell teases more Mac, Harm

Catherine Bell

In case you were worried that last night’s NCIS: Los Angeles finale was going to be the end of the road for Mac and Harm, here’s a life preserver that could keep you afloat until the series returns for more this fall.

In a new post on Instagram, Catherine Bell responds to some of the commentary (seemingly) from those who were dissatisfied with the news that Mac and Harm were not together so many years removed from JAG. She notes that the two are “complicated people,” but also proclaimed that it may not be the end of their story just yet. In some ways, we agree with the idea that seeing something play out between the two may be better than hearing about it from afar, but it’s 1) the waiting and 2) finding the right mechanism in order to have some sort of hopefully-romantic reunion happen.

Sure, we’d love to see this as some sort of clue that a JAG revival of some sort could happen … but we don’t want to get too far ahead of ourselves here when it’s clear that there are a lot of important steps that need to be taken before we get from point A to point B. For now, we’re just assuming that we’ll see a little bit more of Bell and David James Elliott early on in season 11, given that with season 10 ending on a big cliffhanger, it’s hard to imagine that we’re near the end of Mac and Harm’s story just yet. The premiere can pick up where the events of the finale left off, and we definitely think that there is a reason to be hopeful that we could see them at some other point in the season beyond that.

Is there a way to make Mac and Harm’s relationship work?

If there is, it’s probably going to involve the two of them actually deciding to work in the same place again — or at least be able to see each other with some regularity. This could be an impetus for a new JAG — or, it could just be a way for us as viewers to see that the two are willing to make some sort of greater compromise happen for the sake of them getting to spend a little bit more time together.
