Fuller House season 5: When’s the first filming date?

Fuller House

Just in case you’ve been looking forward to a few updates when it comes to Fuller House season 5, we’re happy to at least have one for you now: When filming for the new batch of episodes is officially going to be underway.

According to the ticket distributor for the Netflix series, filming for the final season in front of a live audience is going to happen starting on May 31. This means that by the end of the month, the Tanner-Fuller family will be back in some iteration! Obviously, there are still some mysteries hovering around out there, including whether or not we’re going to have a chance in order to see Lori Loughlin back on the show. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen, but you never quite know with television shows — especially ones with a final season who are really intent on finding a way to surprise some of their viewers.

Taping for the final season should take place through most of the summer, and it is coming at a time when Netflix will, more than likely, ready the final episodes to premiere near the end of this year. As sad as it may be to some that Fuller House is officially coming to a close, there is one thing that we’d say is absolutely worth celebrating — the fact that there is a final season in the first place. When you think about it, the majority of the shows out there don’t get any sort of proper “final season” — they just end out of the blue and there’s no time to properly prepare or write some sort of series finale. Sometimes, this is just the sort of stuff that you have to deal with but here, there’s a chance to maybe see some really happy stuff when it comes to DJ, Steve, Stephanie, or many other major characters who are a part of this world.

Our feeling is that with Fuller House being the sort of show that it is, there’s nothing that the writers are going to want more than to deliver something that brings a lot of smiles to the faces of viewers all over the world. Tonally, this is a show about family, and about people finding a way to stick together and be there for each other even when some of the going gets tough. At the moment, we certainly don’t have any reason to think that this is going to change.

If you missed it…

We do have a recent discussion over at the link here, one that is geared very much around the subject of whether or not Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen could reprise their role of Michelle. It definitely seems unlikely, but we do think that there’s a lot of reason to have hope that we could see it.
