Is Oliver Platt leaving Chicago Med, Dr. Charles? Season 4 episode 21

Next week on Chicago Med season 4 episode 21, could there be some romance in the air? Sure, but there could also be devastation. We’re at that point in the season that is really turn-on-a-dime territory, where with just one passing move the foundation for an entire show could shift and change. Really, it’s the sort of thing that you have to prepare yourself for — if at all possible, anyway.

The thing that may be harder to swallow is knowing that there only are two more episodes left for Colin Donnell as a series regular, and the same goes for Norma Kuhling. No matter how the story is going to be resolved for Connor and Ava, we’re going to have an opportunity to find out sooner rather than later. (It’s already clear, at least to us, that this show has taken some turns with this relationship that we absolutely didn’t see coming.)

05/15/2019 (08:00PM – 09:00PM) (Wednesday) : Caroline has news to share, forcing Dr. Charles to make a serious decision about their relationship. Maggie meets her sister’s new boyfriend, but discovers danger may lie ahead. Dr. Rhodes experiences a devastating loss while Dr. Choi and April are faced with an unexpected challenge that strengthens their relationship. TV-14 LV

Is there some good news on the horizon for Ethan and April?

At the moment, it feels at least one couple could have some good news coming up for the two of them. Elsewhere, it just feels like there’s a near-constant sense of chaos, and that’s been one of the difficult challenges that the series has had to wade through this season. We understand that Chicago Med is able to drive a lot of conflict forward because of some of its relationships, but sooner or later, you do want to see someone happy! Beyond that, there are some other ways that there can be conflict through many different scenes, including getting a chance to see other family members or just strange, challenging, and unprecedented medical cases.

No matter what happens within this episode, at least there’s one more installment beyond it. Our hope is that the end of season 4 offers up a sense of closure for others, but then also enough of a good tease (note: not necessarily a cliffhanger) for what a season 5 could look like. That will be enough to keep us actively excited over the summer.

Is Oliver Platt leaving?

That’s at least the promo for the next new episode makes us wonder at the moment … but we’re not so sure at present.
