Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 24 preview: Why Joey Lawrence returns

Hawaii Five-0 season 9 episode 24 is in a lot of ways the beginning of the end of this season. It’s not the finale, but it absolutely matters. It’s also totally linked it in a number of significant ways. Much of it starts with the return of Joey Lawrence, who is going to be coming back to the show as Aaron Wright! He’s one of the better recent villains that we’ve had — he’s a notable hacker, someone who can inflict so much danger and carnage … but also someone who may have a more manipulative side at the same time.

The question that you really have to wonder entering this episode is really quite a simple one: How much can this team really trust Aaron? Is he going to come back and screw them over? It’s something that you can’t rule out given his history … as a matter of fact, it’d almost be foolish to do so! There is so much water under the bridge and so much terrible stuff that he’s capable of.

“Hewa ka lima” – Fugitive hacker Aaron Wright (Joey Lawrence) resurfaces to ask Five-0 for help when his co-workers at the NSA, which he has been working for, are all murdered. Also, Junior speaks at the parole hearing of the drunk driver who killed his sister, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, May 10 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Aaron’s story is going to continue enter the finale, so go ahead and prepare for that now. His biggest danger is that with his skill set, the world really is at his fingertips. He can figure out a way to utilize the internet, arms dealers, killers, or really anything and anyone else to get to his desired endgame.

As for the Junior Reigns storyline…

This one is going to be powerful and there’s really no better way to say it. Junior is having to dive into a big part of his past, something that is essential to why his father is the way that he is and the state of the relationship that they have. Expect this to be a complicated storyline for him and one where he should try his best to lean on others. He’s going to need them at every possible moment here, and he needs to be okay to be emotional.

Whatever happens with Junior in this episode could very well define whatever the future for this character will be. We have to be prepared for that.
