Chicago Med season 4 episode 21 spoilers: Connor faces devastation

How is Colin Donnell going to leave Chicago Med? Because we know about the news so long before the season 4 finale, that does without a doubt largely inform a lot of the way in which we perceive and look at the show. It’s hard for it not to — we care about Connor, and just on the basis of that alone, the idea of losing him from season 5 is saddening. We just hope that if he does leave the hospital, he does so for a pasture that feels a little bit greener and friendly. He’s one of those characters who deserves to be happy, really no matter what that means for him in particular.

Consider Chicago Med season 4 episode 21 to be the episode that really sets the foundation in motion. We have a hard time thinking that the writers are going to just write out the Connor character in the finale without some sort of buildup. The writers are going to add some sort of clue in here somewhere, and judging from the information we have, it may have a thing or two to do with something horrible that Connor goes through in this hour of TV.

What could this loss be? One of the obvious things we’re thinking about at present is the state of his father Cornelius, given that he was just in for an emergency procedure. While it is clear at this point that the two don’t exactly have the best relationship in the world, the man is still Connor’s father. Because of that, there is a natural connection that the two have that you cannot quite forget about or ignore. If Connor loses his dead, it could impact him.

No matter what the loss is, you can argue that maybe it is the sort of thing that makes Rhodes realize that after so long in one place doing the same sort of thing, it may be time for a fresh start, to explore some greener pastures and see precisely what else is coming down the line.
