The Voice results: Is Jej Vinson, Rebecca Howell, or Selkii in top 13?
Given that there are so many people on tonight’s episode who are not moving forward, let’s focus here mostly on some of the people who we know we’ll be seeing for a while. Here are some of the artists declared safe for the top 13.
Carter Lloyd Horne, Team Blake – No shocker. It’s a guy who can do country music for Team Blake. Basically a Voice favorite.
Gyth Rigdon, Team Blake – Basically, it’s the same sort of deal here. Gyth is the sort of guy who can easily win this show at the end of all of it.
Shawn Sounds, Team Legend – The dude is a vocal beast. There’s no other way to either put it or describe it.
Rod Stokes, Team Kelly – We gotta say that we didn’t see this coming. Rod hasn’t exactly popped off the screen for us.
Kim Cherry, Team Blake – Well, Kim’s unique and that’s really helping her — as is the fact that she’s on Team Blake. No real shock that he’s cleaning house.
Dexter Roberts, Team Blake – Hey look! another country singer! Well, Dexter’s got a huge following stemming from American Idol. Not surprised here.
Maelyn Jarmon, Team Legend – She’s got a real chance to win this whole thing, at least in terms of her vocals. We don’t know if John as a coach has the pull of Blake, but we’ll see.
Andrew Sevener, Team Blake – ANOTHER country singer. How many more are we going to fit in here?
Comeback Artist – LB Crew! LB is getting another chance on Team Adam after being previously eliminated. This was a nice lifeline for Adam given that at this point, he didn’t have anyone on his team moving forward.
The coaches’ picks
From here, the coaches have had an opportunity to pick the artist who they think is worthy of moving forward.
Team Blake – Oliv Blu. A bit of a surprising pick for Blake, but he’s someone who he thinks is worthy of moving forward to the next round.
Team Kelly – Poor Kelly, since she basically had to pick from her whole team to move forward to the next round. This was legitimately tough for her, and she decided to save Jej Vinson — probably a smart move, but a surprise in some ways that he was even in the bottom in the first place.
Team Legend – John did have a reasonably tough choice as well, but he went with Celia Babini based on what he thought was one of his three best performances on his team from last night.
Team Adam – Ultimately, Adam saw the most in Mari and decided to take her and try to push forward to the top 13. We’ll see how that goes.
