As we approach the Lucifer season 4 and its premiere on May 8, why not celebrate the latest batch of photos via Netflix?
The image above is one of the latest that you can see from the upcoming episodes, and it features prominently the most notable new addition this season in Inbar Lavi’s Eve. There’s been quite a bit said about her already, but in the end, the most important thing to note is that she’s going to be throwing a wrench into almost everything. Think in terms of Lucifer Morningstar’s personal life, sure, but also in terms of his work life, given that an ex from his past — someone who has a tendency for showing off a little bit more of his wild side — seems to be the last sort of person you would want to see get mixed up in such serious business as police investigation.
Will Eve keep Deckerstar from happening? It’s a legitimate concern, and while we are worried about her role in some capacity, it does feel clear based on the material that is out there that this character is going to be bringing quite a bit of fun to the table.

Meanwhile, this second photo is one of your best looks at Chloe Decker for the upcoming season, and she remains very much a woman who is struggling to figure out what she wants from her life. It wasn’t that long ago that she and Lucifer were moving towards a relationship — now, a little something like him being the devil is starting to push her away while she figures things out.
Of course, is it also possible that Eve gets in the way? You have to think so. If that connection is built, for starters, that could push Decker away … and so could some of the way in which Lucifer behaves as a result of this relationship. We’re still hopeful that Deckerstar will work things out, but it will take a little bit of time.
Finally, let’s go ahead and present a third photo from this episode, one that is putting at the forefront two characters in Dan and Ella who we haven’t exactly seen a lot of in the promotional materials to date. What we like about throwing them into this season is that they could represent more of Lucifer and its human element — it’s important to have people on the outside for the sake of trying to balance out both the cast, and then also the overall story.
