The Blacklist season 6 finale spoilers: Prepare for ‘Robert Diaz’

We, of course, are wondering just how high up on the Blacklist someone like POTUS could be — there’s no real rhyme or reason to some of the numbers, though we personally think that some of the people higher up are the people who have more of a natural closeness to Reddington in some shape or form. (Think about how high up people like Dembe and Tom are on the list.) We wondered for a brief time if Diaz could even top the list, but that seems unlikely — a more likely scenario is that it’s either Reddington himself or Katarina Rostova, if she’s alive, or crazy enough, maybe even Liz Keen herself given that she could be the biggest threat to Reddington since that emotional connection is so prevalent.

Obviously, one of the nice things that we know about this episode going into it is that it’s not the series finale — we welcome that mostly because the President, as powerful as he may be, isn’t really that significant a character within the world of the show. He doesn’t have the gravity of a Mr. Kaplan or a Katarina so whenever The Blacklist does come to a close, it’s a little bit better that the show does it with someone as a Big Bad who is a little more notable and recognizable within this world as a whole.
