SEAL Team season 2 episode 20 video: Jason Hayes’ pain

SEAL Team

SEAL Team season 2 episode 20 is going to be heading your way on Wednesday and at this point, it’s clear that everyone will be suffering. Bravo Team is on the verge of utter collapse — they’re shorthanded after Clay almost died, Ray is on another planet much of the time, and Jason is coping with the death of his old friend Brett Swan. As you know from this past (painful) episode, he took his own life after failing to find a way to properly take care of what he felt was a traumatic brain injury.

At the moment, it’s clear that there is a lot on Jason Hayes’ plate. He’s tackling all of this, plus also the higher-ups seemingly suggesting that he is not fit to run this team anymore. Then, there’s another obvious issue here in that he and his daughter are at odds, and he can’t really be home and there for them. Add to this the fact that Alana is dead. It’s a complicated mess of emotions, so how are you really able to keep some of these at bay? How are you able to move forward?

The sneak peek below from this upcoming episode doesn’t necessarily offer up all that much of a clear-cut solution to the problem. Instead, this is Jason and Mandy having a conversation about where they stand and the reason why they don’t often vocalize some of their issues. In a lot of ways, it is to protect themselves from falling into an emotional ravine. What Jason is feeling is probably not so unique to him, as there are countless people out there presumably suffering from something similar in their own lives. Members of active-duty military often deal with loneliness, fear, and pain. Maybe it’s a situation similar to what Jason is going through, or maybe it’s something that is totally different. Regardless, this mixture of emotions is going to define where Jason is during this episode, which is fittingly entitled “Rock Bottom.”

If there is some more bad news to report, it’s simply that this is not the end of the road for some of these conflicts. We know that entering the penultimate episode, tensions between Jason and Ray are going to come to a boil — meaning, basically, that some of the worst is still yet to come.
