STAR season 3 episode 17 preview: Carlotta’s big discovery
Next week, STAR season 3 episode 17 is bringing you an important episode of TV — it’s hard to say precisely what is going to transpire for certain, but there is a chance for some serious relationship turmoil. Music careers are on the line, parenting situations could crumble, and beyond that, there’s a chance that there will be something huge that happens that fundamentally shakes up the entire foundation of the show as we know it. Think in terms of something that Carlotta uncovers.
Of course, in the midst of whatever drama is coming, one thing is probably going to be the same — this is not a show that will be looking to lose much of its musical DNA. It’s still going to have some performances, but they will be interspersed throughout some of the surrounding crises.

Everyone is on edge, but the girls must stay focused on the events leading up to the ASAs. Star and Noah struggle with parenthood while being in the spotlight, as Alex deals with her father’s retaliation for her refusing his “gifts.” Meanwhile, Cassie continues to manage Rashad’s (guest star Major) music career and Carlotta makes a shocking discovery that will change the lives of many.
There are so many thoughts that are worth having based on both this and the promo below, including that it is going to be really hard for Star to keep things together. Think, for starters, in terms of what she has been through already — then, consider some of what Noah has been through. When you combine all of this drama, it’s pretty clear that things could get explosive and someone could be in jeopardy. That could carry directly into the finale.
So how could this season end? We don’t think that we’re so far away from the episode airing at the moment that we shouldn’t think about it at all. One of the larger priorities within this show is to continually rattle your cage, and we have a good feeling that this is something that we’re going to see all over again here. This is a show that has no problem killing someone off … or at least make you worried about it moving into season 4. (Note that while STAR has not been renewed as of yet for a season 4, but for the time being, we remain hopeful — there’s really no reason to not be worried about it, when you look at the ratings. Being worried about the fate of some of these characters is a totally different story.)
