NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 21 video: Callen’s surprising news

Sam and Callen

After a week off of the air, NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 21 is airing on CBS this Sunday — albeit in a new timeslot. To make way for the new limited series The Red Line, the crime procedural is moving to 10:00 p.m. Eastern. While that’s not ideal, remember this: It’s already got a season 11 renewal! Even if the live ratings leave a little bit of something to be desired, there’s nothing major to be concerned about here. It’s going to find a way to move forward without an issue.

Let’s go ahead and get now to what is actually going to be happening within this episode, especially when it comes to one G. Callen getting some rather surprising news. After Sam ends up reuniting with an old undercover contact, we end up seeing Callen get some rather unfortunate news of his own — Anna has escaped from prison. He’s visited by a US Marshal who broke the news to him, but unfortunately, there’s still not a whole lot of insight as to how exactly Anna got out, or what the plan is going to be to find her.

Obviously, Callen is a key person in trying to locate her. He’s going to be someone who the Marshals expect Anna to communicate with, so with that, they may think of him as a source of information. Or, they could try to use Callen to set up a capture. We’re not sure just how willing he’s going to be to cooperate, but these are options that are currently on the table.

Through this episode, the obvious top priority here is going to be trying to track Anna down, but of course, we do find ourselves wondering a little bit more than just this. We hope that in the process of this, there’s actually a chance to really dive into Callen’s head and understand a little bit more of what actually makes him tick. The more in the way of personal insight that we get on this character and where he stands, the better of that we’re going to be as a viewer of this series. It’s not something that we get enough of, and we understand that one of the biggest reasons why is simply because there is so much going on elsewhere!

Also, it’s not exactly like Callen is the most introspective guy. If he is, he surely doesn’t tell us about it.
