Legends of Tomorrow season 4 episode 13 preview: ‘Egg MacGuffin’
Is there a central theme to this season? If there is a fair question to really wonder amidst all of the humor and imagination here, that could be it. The Big Bad situation’s been a little loose at best, but Legends continues to be anchored by its sense of humor, by its surprisingly thoughtful approach to relationships (they’re actually far more grounded than other shows that don’t include time travel or other drama like it), and also by its DC presence. Even though it doesn’t always even feel like a superhero show anymore, there is still that presence and we don’t want to ignore it entirely.
For some other news as to what’s coming up here, take a look at the official Legends of Tomorrow season 4 episode 13 synopsis now:
IT’S NOT WHAT IT SEEMS – While Ray (Brandon Routh) is worried about Nora (Courtney Ford), he is suddenly faced with his own problem that forces him to do the unthinkable. Nate (Nick Zano) and Zari (Tala Ashe) are stuck in an awkward limbo, so Sara (Caity Lotz) devises a plan to send them on an easy mission together. Meanwhile, Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) and Rory (Dominic Purcell) are approached with a lucrative offer that could upend their lives. Jes Macallan, Matt Ryan and Ramona Young also stars. Chris Tammaro directed the episode written by James Eagan & Tyron B. Carter (#413). Original airdate 4/29/2019.
How this story ends could actually change the course of most of the rest of the season, at least if Rory and Charlie are offered something that could cause them to exit the Waverider. To a certain extent, we’re prepared for some sort of departure at the end of this episode — mostly because there have been so many on this show already. Think about the likes of Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Kid Flash, both Jax and Stein, Rip Hunter, and also Amaya. (We know that Maisie Richardson-Sellers is still a part of the show, but we don’t want to forget about her previous character here — doesn’t she still matter?) It’s conceivable that there could be more departures, but before that happens, we do want to continue to enjoy the crazy ride that we’re on — how can you not, given that this show is offering an experience you’re not going to get virtually anywhere else on TV, let alone the Arrowverse?
