The Resident season 2 episode 22 preview: ‘Broker and Broker’

The Resident

Next week, The Resident season 2 episode 22 is going to air and through “Broker and Broker,” you’ll see a story of financial strain. Chastain has been through a lot these days in between unfortunate crises and self-inflicted wounds; all of them are starting to pile up. The hospital is in a certain degree of financial peril and it’s going to be up to Dr. Bell, among others, do try and find some sort of viable solution for them.

There are of course a number of ways to take a look at and try and resolve a financial disaster. One of them is by trying to scrunch up budgets, find new ways to save money every day, and also cut non-essential programs. Then, there’s also trying to coax a lottery winner into giving up big sums of money. For Dr. Bell, the latter may seem like winning the lottery since that opportunity is going to fall on his lap over the course of the next new episode.

For a few more details all about what’s next, be sure to check out the official The Resident season 2 episode 22 synopsis below:

When a lottery winner is admitted to the hospital, Bell turns to him as a potential solution to Chastain’s financial problems. Nic becomes infuriated when Alec (guest star Miles Gaston Villanueva) suggests she meet with an organ broker in hopes of saving Jessie’s life, but after her other ideas fail, she brings the idea to Conrad. Meanwhile, Devon and Irving help Mina piece together details from her night out after The Raptor sidelines her for an upcoming surgery in the all-new “Broker and Broker” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, April 29 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (RES-222) (TV-14 D, L, V)

This is an episode that’s seemingly going to be bringing almost everything to the table, but perhaps more than anything, it’s bringing you a prevailing feeling of desperation. You’ll see throughout this hour Nic doing just about everything that she can in order to save her sister’s life, while at the same time we also watch Dr. Bell do everything within his power in order to bring the hospital back from the brink. Even Mina piecing together what happened to her from night out could have some desperation to it — while there may be a comedic read to this synopsis where it plays out almost like The Hangover, there’s also a much darker interpretation where something far more serious transpired. We don’t want to assume anything without getting a few more details on how the pieces of this plot come together.
