The Blacklist season 6 episode 20 spoilers: Meet ‘Guillermo Rizal’

As we approach the end of The Blacklist season 6, the NBC series is not looking to shake up its foundation all that much. It knows the sort of crazy storylines catch your eye, and also some that will continue to have people talking. Enter “Guillermo Rizal.” This is the 20th episode of the season, and the first that is coming your way after the epic two-part arc that is culminating in “Rassvet” come Firday night. We’re anticipating a lot of exciting stuff in it, mostly because we’re going to be at that point in the season where we like to think that single moment matters — and that includes every single Blacklister who we end up meeting.

So who could Rizal be? In the first The Blacklist season 6 episode 20 synopsis, we have an opportunity to start searching for clues:

05/03/2019 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Friday) : When multiple children are abducted under similar circumstances, the Task Force rushes to find the kidnapper. Meanwhile, Red (James Spader) goes on the hunt for a man who can find anything, while Liz (Megan Boone) considers a big change. Joel de la Fuente, Jennifer Ferrin, Teddy Coluca and Ben Horner guest star. TV-14 V

Through this, it seems like Rizal is one of two characters of note. Either we are talking here about the kidnapper who is going after children, or he is the “man who can find anything.” So what is Reddington looking for? Maybe it’s something … or maybe it’s someone. what is so interesting about this episode is that Reddington often has a good sense as to where most important things are, and much of the name of his game is subterfuge, working overtime in order to ensure that nobody else is able to uncover some of his secrets. It’s a different situation for him to be in a position where some other people have some valuable information on him and he has to find a way to piece it together.

What about Liz’s big change?

It’s interesting, though at the same time it’s not so interesting that we can speculate about it here. After all, at the moment we are mostly grasping at straws and trying to pick out various stories that it could work for. Given how hard it was for her to get back at the FBI, it’s hard to imagine her leaving there … but maybe she’ll be prompted to try and leave the East Coast altogether if she learns the truth about Reddington and wants to start anew elsewhere. (Yet, wouldn’t Reddington just find her? It certainly feels that way.)
