The Big Bang Theory season 12 episode 20: ‘The Decision Reverberation’
Next week on The Big Bang Theory season 12 episode 20, you will see a story that, at least for Leonard, feels a little bit nostalgic. Think back to where he was at the start of this series — he was an insecure nerdy guy with some good friends and a dream to be with Penny. He didn’t have confidence, and he’d spent the better part of his past several years being bossed around constantly by Sheldon. He didn’t have much of a voice — he’s been working on it, but some of those insecurities are still there. We all have backslides, but you just have to pick yourself back up and try again.
Next week, we’re going to get a chance to see Leonard climb that mountain once again — he’ll have Penny at his side, and a lot of this is going to be based on a new scientific study. This is his wheelhouse, right? This is the sort of thing he should be confident about (despite what Sheldon has had to say about Leonard’s work over the years)! Yet, doing that falls so much into the easier-said-than-done territory.
For some more details, just take a look at the official The Big Bang Theory season 12 episode 20 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:
“The Decision Reverberation” – Koothrappali is worried people won’t take him seriously in his own field after publishing a paper that suggests he may have discovered alien life. Also, Leonard wants to be the principal investigator on a plasma physics study, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, April 25 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The other storyline within this episode for Raj should prove to be entertaining, if for no other reason than that it’s going to be fun to throw Raj into an environment where people are talking about aliens — aliens! We think that there are a TON of people in the scientific community who are more than aware that aliens are probably out there, but there’s a difference between thinking about them and visualizing them — and when you do, you start to conjure up the image of little green men with laser guns that go pew pew pew in your head.
By the end of this episode, hopefully there’s some resolution here. We want to see Raj happy and successful, and we also want Leonard to understand that he really can do anything. He’s already accomplished so much in his life — he’s married to the woman of his dreams, he’s doing valuable work, and he may end up becoming one of the most famous scientists in the world. He’s got every reason to want to stand up for himself.
