Supernatural season 14 episode 20 finale spoilers: The ‘Moriah’ struggle

Supernatural season 13 poster

Want to know what’s coming on Supernatural season 14 episode 20? Enter “Moriah,” and enter the end of the season. This is the finale episode that could set the stage for the final season and based on where things are at the moment, things are gonna get a little bit crazy. Actually, they’re going to be a lot crazy. This is going to be one of the most dramatic episodes you’ve seen in a long time, and it certainly looks like one where there could be more death — or at least the idea of departure since death is such a loose, strange concept within the world of the show.

Also, we do wonder if there’s going to be a story in here all about Jack starting to turn even more to the dark side. There is a case for him being the Big Bad of the final season, and we do personally feel like this would be one of the most heartbreaking outcomes possible. Just think about who he’s been and also where he’s been for the bulk of the series and how we first got to know him.

Below, CarterMatt offered up the official Supernatural season 14 episode 20 synopsis with a little more insight all about what’s coming:

ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE ON A SHOCKING SEASON FINALE – Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are thrown into an epic battle. Meanwhile, Jack (Alexander Calvert) becomes disenchanted with all the lies, and an old friend from the past shows up. Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb (#1420). Original airdate 4/25/2019.

Will there be a cliffhanger moving into the final season?

We wouldn’t be surprised if there is, largely because we do think that this show wants to set things up for whatever comes next — also, this is (insert emotional undertones here) the last time that the writers are going to get a chance to set that up. This is the last major cliffhanger, and next fall could be the last premiere. We are at that point now where we’re going to have to start checking off boxes for various “last” things that are going to be coming up with this show.

While we do still remain sad at the idea of Supernatural coming to a close, we do still feel a certain element of peace at the notion of this show getting to go out on its own terms. That’s something that very few other series get an opportunity in order to do.
