Blue Bloods season 9 finale: New Jamie – Eddie wedding photo!

Throughout this upcoming March 10 episode, there are going to be opportunities aplenty to be excited … ones that include seeing the beloved couple say their “I do’s.” But, this wedding won’t just be limited to seeing Eddie walk down the aisle. According to People Magazine, there are a number of wonderful moments to look out for as this episode ties together the season. Based on this photo, it feels pretty clear that we’re going to see Frank Reagan have a big role in the wedding, and beyond that, it looks as though Danny’s also going to take part in a reading during the ceremony.

Obviously, this wedding is going to be an emotional one for the couple. They’ve been planning it for most of the season, going through all of the different ebbs and flows that go along with it. Beyond just that, though, there’s been the stress of keeping the relationship low-key on the job and hoping that they aren’t caught away from it. Do I have questions still about how they’re going to tell their colleagues? Sure and it feels like that’s going to be a problem. Nobody likes to learn that they’ve been on the outside of a secret like this for quite this long. At least Jamie and Eddie should be able to handle it, given that they have been able to handle EVERYTHING thrown their way this whole series. They knew and cared about each other long before they were a couple, and that friendship was a good foundation for showing them what sort of couple they could be.

Of course, beyond the wedding itself it feels pretty darn clear that there will be opportunities to see some typical Blue Bloods police drama in here. If this finale is like just about every other wedding episode created for TV, it means that there will be some shocking revelations and something that almost derails it. Shows thrive on conflict; they live and die on it. Maybe the rest of the Reagans will try to insulate Jamie and Eddie so they don’t have to deal with any drama on their big day … though we feel like that’s going to be so much easier said than done.
