NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 21 preview: ‘Trust Me’

NCIS: New Orleans season 4 premiere

There are a few different things worth noting when it comes to NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 21 right away, and they start with waiting — or, not having to wait too long at all! While both NCIS and FBI are both going to be off the air next week, you are going to see this show come back with another new episode in “Trust Me.”

We do get that there’s a little bit of a good news/bad news situation when it comes to this, with the bad news being that this is probably going to mean the show takes a ratings hit. (It’s hard to imagine it pulling the same numbers when it doesn’t have the same quality lead-ins coming up before it.) With that being said, though, we remain hopeful that there’s going to be a season 6 — and we think CBS is also preparing for that. If the ratings are bad for a single episode, we have a hard time thinking that this will lead to the show’s renewal hopes careening off of a cliff.

Just make sure that you as a viewer remember to either watch this episode live or set your DVR — we are going to see Apollyon, the evil organization at the center of this season, come back and play some sort of role here. Signs suggest that this is very much a part of this season’s endgame, so you don’t want to miss some of the various twists and turns that we’re going to see along the way.

Below, CarterMatt has the NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 21 synopsis with some other news all about what’s ahead:

“Trust Me” – Tammy is convinced that a con man committed the hit-and-run murder of a Navy doctor, even though the evidence shows otherwise. Also, unbeknownst to Hannah, her husband, Ryan Porter (Hal Ozsan), approaches Pride with new intel on Apollyon, the underground spy network responsible for murdering his father, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, April 23 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

How is it that Ryan of all people is connected to this? Given how Ryan’s seemed like the stable one in his relationship (after all, think about Hannah’s job), it’s curious to know what he could possibly have to pass along … especially in a way in which Hannah doesn’t even know about it. Maybe this is his way of trying to help Pride without getting Hannah involved or hurt in the process.

Elsewhere within this episode, we’re getting something big for Tammy! We’ve had a couple of instances of this throughout the season but because they’ve been rather few and far between, we’re certainly welcoming more with open arms as they come.
