Interested in learning what’s next on The Resident season 2 episode 21? First of all, rejoice in knowing that there is not another hiatus on the horizon! “Stuck as Foretold” is coming on the air next week in the show’s standard timeslot. As for the story, you’re going to have a chance to dive into something that is about concern, about hope, and also about the past. For Dr. Bell, he’s going to encounter someone who may offer him a different outlook on the future. Dr. Bell’s a guy who has lived a lot of life and often, that comes as code for “someone unlikely to change.” We’ll see whether or not that ends up being the case here, since we like to think that he’s already made some minor alterations over the course of the show’s run as-is.
For some more information now as to what’s coming, be sure to check out the official The Resident season 2 episode 21 synopsis below:
When the hospital has a severe blood shortage, Conrad must try every avenue to save a patient’s life. Nic receives devastating news and is left worrying about her sister’s health, while Mina and Devon work with a new anesthesiologist who is not what she seems. Elsewhere, Kit considers the future of her intertwining relationships and Bell has an encounter with a woman from his past in the all-new “Stuck as Foretold” episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, April 22 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (RES-221) (TV-14 D, L, V)
The long-term story to be the most concerned over is the health of Nic’s sister, mostly because this is the long-term story that we’ve been the most concerned about already. There’s been a lot of time invested in Jessie’s health and we still cannot shake the feeling, even though we’d really like to, that we’re not going to see this character have the upswing that we’d like.
As for what is coming up elsewhere, we remain hopeful that there are a few welcome nuggets that we are not getting, seeing, or feeling from this synopsis, things that Fox may be keeping a little bit close to the vest. A lot of the details presented here are of the case-of-the-week variety and while that is welcome, it does not take away from us yearning and hoping for a little bit more. We are so close to the end of this season and we want to see the writers milk every single personal story that they can from some of these characters. That means potentially seeing more of a vulnerable AJ, finding out more about Conrad and Nic’s relationship, and seeing if Devon ends this season in a good place after the tremendous relationship calamity he suffered around the midway point.
