FBI episode 19 spoilers: A ‘Conflict of Interest’ at home
For a few more pieces of info now about FBI episode 19, check out the official synopsis that CarterMatt has below:
“Conflict of Interest” – An American diplomat is killed while being used as a pawn in a dangerous drug ring, and the team must work together to bring them down. Also, Jubal and OA try to help friends from their past fight off their inner demons, on FBI, Tuesday, April 16 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
This case feels indicative of some of the stuff that the FBI has been dealing with all season long — powerful, high-stakes cases that almost nobody else can take on. We’ve seen that some of these characters have walls of steel around them (metaphorically, of course) to protect themselves … but what happens when some of those walls get chipped away a little bit? Are they still able to stay afloat in the way in which they once were? That’s something that we personally feel is going to be an increasingly-larger part of this story as we inch ever closer to the finale.
You could also consider this episode in a way FBI working to re-center itself after most of this past episode was spent focusing on the Most Wanted spin-off that is currently being developed. We foresee it being a part of the schedule next season in some shape or form, largely so that CBS can get its own new, shared universe together to rival what NBC has going for them in One Chicago. We got a ways to go before getting to that point, though — at the moment, the best thing for FBI itself is to just make sure that it sticks the landing, and give you an epic home stretch that tests Maggie, OA, and everyone else in ways that they have not been tested before.
