‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 4 spoilers: Paul Wesley teases Stefan, Elena

Are Elena and Stefna going to be together at the start of the fourth season of “The Vampire Diaries”? Based on what we have seen on the show so far, it’s pretty easy for many people to assume that this will automatically be the case. However, some of the new comments below courtesy of Paul Wesley do in many ways serve as even further validation for us that there is going to really be some major questions coming up as to whether or not this couple will be able to keep the relationship that they were starting to build again intact now that Elena is now a vampire.

In a video below released by the show’s official YouTube page, Welsey hints that the deal Elena and Stefan made with each other may not necessarily be completely and totally a sure thing now. Why? She made a promise to be with him back when she was a human, and now that she is a vampire, the rules for their relationship (and how Elena chooses to live) are likely going to be rather different, and she may not feel exactly as she once did about him or may just not be ready to tie herself down to anyone.

When it comes to another important story with Stefan, Wesley claims that we are going to get even more insight coming forward quickly this season pertaining to why his character chose to save Matt as per Elena’s request from the water rather than her. Why would he take her word for it? There’s always something more to the puzzle with this show, and we can’t wait to find out what it is here.
