The 100 season 6 episode 1 spoilers: First look at premiere ‘Sanctum’

The 100

Are you ready to check out The 100 season 6 episode 1? This episode is coming your way on April 30, and the title here is “Sanctum.”

In a lot of ways, we are gearing up for what is a totally new show — just with some established characters still on board. We’ve got a new planet, new adventures, and certainly new characters who are going to be stopping by. This is a season that is steeped in mystery, and in a lot of ways, that is the primary reason for excitement here. The 100 is a show that keeps constantly finding some exciting ways in order to reinvent itself. We almost don’t want to know too much about the premiere because anything otherwise could prove to be misleading. This is a show that may cause you to rethink much of what you’ve come to know about many of these people.

So what else is coming in terms of the story? Below, CarterMatt offers up the official The 100 season 6 episode 1 synopsis with a little bit more news as to what’s coming up next:

SEASON PREMIERE – Still reeling after receiving Monty’s message, a small group goes down to explore the mysterious new planet. Back on the Mothership, several members of Wonkru face the consequences of their decisions.  Eliza Taylor, Paige Turco, Bob Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Lindsey Morgan, Richard Harmon, Tasya Teles and Shannon Kook star.  The episode was directed by Ed Fraiman and written by Jason Rothenberg (#601).  Original airdate 4/30/2019.

We’re not considering this episode to be one that necessarily tells you everything that you need to know. Instead, this is an episode that is more about setting the table. It’s more about giving you a good appetizer for some of the tasty, super-rich stories that are going to be coming up down the road. Relationships are going to be tested, the drama will be top-tier, and you’ll probably cry here and there. That sort of thing just seems to be a given with this sort of show.

More than anything else, can we just cross our fingers and hope that this episode is very much worth the wait? We’ve been forced to sit around for a long time to get to this point, but there is at least one silver lining to the wait at this point — the fact that when it comes on, it’s going to be coming on after The Flash. The show is going to be benefiting with some great ratings almost right away and we like to think that this will help on the road to this show getting a season 7.
