Want to know some of what’s coming on The Fix episode 5 next week? We’re far enough into the season at this point that the case around Sevvy is swirling and festering and you can’t quite gather what direction it’s going to go in yet. While it’s pretty clear from the D.A.’s office that there’s a case here, the question still remains as to whether or not they’ve got enough to prove it. Can they bring the hammer, or instead is it a little more of a subtle tapping? That’s what we’re going to get a chance to see a little bit of next week as the case intensifies.
Below, CarterMatt offers up the official The Fix episode 5 synopsis with a little bit of insight on what’s coming up:
The district attorney’s office makes everyone take a lie detector test in an effort to find the mole feeding information to Ezra Wolf. Meanwhile, Maya receives an unexpected visit from Sevvy’s son Gabe at work.
What does Gabe want? This could be the sort of big moment in the case that Maya so valuably needs — it could alter the course of what we’re seeing and see the case careening in a new direction. You just need one person to slip up and say something that they didn’t necessarily mean to say. There’s not a whole lot of time to get this case together, either, so if we were the prosecutors at this point, we’d be digging and trying to scrounge up every little tease and piece of information possible! That’s the thing that is going to absolutely turn around this tide.
Who is The Fix faring in the ratings?
Unfortunately, not so great. Despite having at least a decent lead-in at the moment in American Idol, this past episode generated a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic. We’d view this almost in “enjoy the show while you got it” territory, given that we’ve got a really tough time at the moment seeing it stick around.
The cool thing about The Fix is that we envision each season being more or less its own thing and its own story, so you’re probably going to get some element of closure to what’s going down at the moment. The oh-so-obvious bad thing is that this probably means that there’s not so much great stuff coming on the other side of this season. Unless there’s some sort of big improvement that shows itself soon, we don’t foresee great news and big reveals down the horizon.
Obviously, ABC does have until May to make a decision, so the end fate of The Fix may not be actually determined for a while. We just wouldn’t be altogether hopeful if you’re a fan of the show.
