The Blacklist season 6 episode 16 preview: A look inside ‘Lady Luck’

If you are interested in knowing what’s next on The Blacklist season 6 episode 16, luck seems to be the name of the game. To be specific, Lady Luck. That’s the title for this episode and more than likely, that’s the name of the Blacklister. It’s one of the first times we can think of where the name of a Blacklister is so known for things outside of the show.

As it turns out, though, we don’t think that Lady Luck does any of her operations by chance — she’s not lucky. She’s dangerous, and she’s deliberate in her deception. 04/12/2019 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Friday) : Liz (Megan Boone) and Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) investigate a Blacklister who offers to erase gambling debts – at a deceptively high price. Meanwhile, Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) grows concerned as Red (James Spader) tests the loyalties of their business associates in search of the individual who turned him in to the police. Michael Aronov guest stars. TV-14 V

Outside of what’s happening at the moment with Lady Luck, obviously there’s some cool stuff coming up via Dembe and some massive paranoia that he could have going on in the corners of his brain. He’s a guy whose presence is very much “be cool as a cucumber” as much as humanly possible. However, we know that he’s kept some information from Reddington; that’s a hard thing for someone to do, especially when you think about the nature of said information. Dembe knows that Liz is behind the betrayal of Reddington! The moment he finds out the truth, it could mean chaos. He doesn’t want him to know, but some of Reddington’s recent actions are going to make him feel a little bit of pressure.

Sooner or later, though, doesn’t Reddington have to figure out the truth? If there’s one thing that we’ve come to learn about this show over the past several years, it’s this: The Blacklist has a tendency to bring up stories solely for the sake of paying them off down the line. They are careful with some of the information that they choose to hand out. That’s why we’re also pretty confident that eventually, Reddington’s true identity is going to come back to the forefront, as well — Ressler is still talking about it, after all.
