Below, CarterMatt offers up the official Grey’s Anatomy season 15 episode 21 synopsis with some more news when it comes to what lies ahead:
Amelia and Link travel to New York to operate on a patient with a severe spinal deformity, but they’re in for more than they bargained for when Nancy Shepherd invites them to dinner at her home.
While that may not be the most extensive synopsis that we’ve seen for the show this year, there’s not that much that really HAS to be revealed to get us excited here! After all, we’re going to have a great chance within this hour to see the return of Nancy and then also the first appearance of Kate, a Shepherd sister we’ve been waiting to meet forever on this show. We don’t know how all of these different family members are going to react to being in the same room together, but finding all of this out should prove to be very much fascinating, indeed.
Beyond just this, go ahead and also add in here now another significant mystery: What’s going on in regards to Link, who may end up being thrown quite awkwardly into this situation, and may not in turn have any real way to know how to handle it. We know that he’s an affable guy who can work his way through many a situation, but if he’s with Amelia for this family reunion, it’s gonna be tricky … especially when you consider that it’s not exactly like he and Amelia have been close to each other at all for some extensive period of time. At most, we’re talking here about a few episodes and that’s about it.
This is an episode we’ve been hearing about for some time, and what Grey’s Anatomy has done a good job at for a while is making sure that Scorsone has a great episode or two in order to sink her teeth into. This one is going to be fantastic, and the larger question we’re left to wonder on the other side is simply this: Where is this going to take her moving forward? Typically these sort of episodes end up having a fairly large imprint in the weeks that follow it.
