The Resident season 2 episode 20 return date: If Not now, When?
Yes, it really is a novel thought — The Resident actually telling some stories that put medicine first rather than some evil company or doctor breaking the law. Don’t get us wrong — we like all of those stories in their own way, but with us so close to the end of the season, it makes some sense for the story to hone in on the individual characters and cases. Keep things simple, since this is what the doctors and nurses at Chastain do every single day. With Nic’s sister Jessie, there is clearly still that personal component as she fights for her life. We’re really starting to sense that she may not make it out of this season still in one piece.
Below, CarterMatt offers up the official The Resident season 2 episode 20 synopsis with some other news all about what’s ahead:
Devon grows concerned when a mother’s complaints go unaddressed after her delivery, and pushes Bell to take drastic measures. Conrad is faced with breaking the news to Nic regarding Jessie’s worsening condition. Meanwhile, The Raptor, Mina and Kit spring into action when a mother and son enter the ER with devastating injuries in the all-new episode of THE RESIDENT airing Monday, April 15 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (RES-220) (TV-14 D, L, V)
Even the title for this episode suggests that bad things are coming (originally this episode was called “Black Cloud”) — to flip around an analogy, maybe this is the storm before the calm? Maybe this is a chance to see a small shred of peace before we get around to seeing a little bit of chaos? Isn’t it possible that we could see all of these things in some shape or form? Of course, we think a more apropos analogy is to call this the storm before the calm before yet another storm, given that it’s hard to see the finale ending in some sort of muted way. This is a show that thrives on some of its cliffhangers.
Here are some other questions worth pondering…
1. Will Devon find a way to pick himself up after Julian’s exit and get some consistent stability in his life?
2. Is it possible that we get closer to Mina/AJ happening — if it’s not this season, than some other point down the line?
3. Is Conrad’s father really gone for good?
By the end of episode 20, it’s possible that many more questions will surface.
