Dynasty season 2 episode 15 preview: Nicollette Sheridan’s last episode
The problem is when you get one like the one you’ve got below (which does contain a rather ironic uttering of “No More Drama”), coupled with the synopsis below that makes it clear that there is a lot of awesome stuff coming and you’re just not able to see a lot of it just yet:
MUM’S THE WORD – While Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) and Sam (Rafael De La Fuente) struggle to keep a secret from bubbling to the surface, their attempts are complicated by the arrival of a mysterious stranger. As Blake (Grant Show) is occupied up with familial matters, Cristal (Ana Brenda Contreras) teams up with Culhane (Robert Christopher Riley) to face a brewing crisis at the Atlantix soccer office. Nicollette Sheridan, Maddison Brown, Alan Dale and Sam Adegoke also star. David M. Isreal and Paula Sabbaga wrote the episode, which was directed by Brandi Bradburn (#215). Original airdate 3/22/2019.
The biggest thing that is on our Dynasty radar at the moment is the impending exit of Sheridan, which, based on the actress’ own social-media messages, is set to happen with this upcoming episode. We know that there are plenty of people out there who’d like to see Alexis out of commission (mostly based on her actions, and not so much Sheridan’s performance), but we’ve got a feeling that even after Nicollette leaves, there’s still potential for the character to stick around. Producers may recast the part, though we’re hoping that they don’t dart off to do it immediately. The last thing that we’d want is for anything to get rushed. Take your time, then deliver the crazy — after all, against all odds the show already has a season 3 renewal.
If you missed it, Sheridan did issue a statement shortly (via TVLine) after her announced exit, making it clear that she is departing in order to be close to her ailing mother:
“Working on the Dynasty reboot and reprising the iconic role of Alexis has been thoroughly enjoyable, but the chance to spend precious time with my terminally ill mother is more important to me right now. I am profoundly grateful to Mark Pedowitz and David Stapf for graciously allowing me to return to Los Angeles to be with her, and I wish them and everyone associated with the show nothing but continued success. I am hopeful that my fans will embrace my successor with as much passion as they embraced me.”
Of course, once there’s more news around how we see this version of Alexis say goodbye, we’ll come bearing more news.
