NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 18 spoilers: A big Patton story
As a matter of fact, you can easily make the criticism that NCIS: New Orleans season 5 has been a tad lacking in the personal-spotlight department in the first place. We’ve gotten a ton of Pride stories, a recent arc for Hannah Khoury, and then also an episode in “Desperate Navy Wives” that allowed Tammy some time to shine. We also had the recent episode with LeVar Burton as a great showcase for CCH Pounder as Loretta Wade. Yet, Lasalle and Patton are still brimming underneath the surface. We’re waiting for a breakthrough for both of these characters, but at least we’re getting one for Patton here. Through this episode, you’re going to dive deep into his past courtesy of a shocking, painful death that is going to test this character’s ability to move forward. Expect emotion, and quite possibly one of the best performances of Mitchell’s career.
For more as to what makes “In Plain Sight” so powerful, take a look at the synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:
“In Plain Sight” – The NCIS team investigates the murder of Patton’s friend, a former Navy Seal gunned down in a drive-by shooting while Patton helplessly watched, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, April 2 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
It’s one thing to lose someone you love, and someone who is a fixture in your life. It’s another thing altogether to see that life flash before your eyes and all of it end. NCIS: New Orleans has so many dead bodies that you could fill a cemetery with them, but there’s something different when you know the face of the person you lost. This case could be about Patton getting justice, but also him seeking vengeance. He’s not going to know how he feels about this, mostly because there are so few ways to prepare. This is an episode that is about taking each individual moment as they come … and also seeing the NCIS: New Orleans family rally behind both someone they know and someone they adore. Patton deserves the best, and they are going to give that to him.
Remember that there is no new episode of NCIS: New Orleans coming on Tuesday — but it will be back a little bit later this March! For more news on what to expect, we strongly suggest that you visit the link here. If you haven’t heard, that episode should mark the return of Scott Bakula’s Pride to NCIS proper — though it’s up to the greater universe (also, the writers) to ensure that the new position sticks.
