Lori Loughlin fired from When Calls the Heart, other Hallmark projects
In a statement, here is what a rep from Crown Media had to say:
“We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations … We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin including Garage Sale Mysteries, an independent third party production.”
Will When Calls the Heart go forward without Loughlin? That’s something that they will have to figure out on the other side of this season, as she has already filmed a number of upcoming appearances. (They could still go in a more drastic direction with her character, but it would prove to be pricey.) Even though she may be one of its most-recognizable names, this is a show that does have a larger cast around her and it will likely find a way to move forward.
What about Fuller House?
Loughlin is perhaps best known for playing Aunt Becky on the classic Full House and its spin-off, but it will be a little easier for her to be written out there. As we’ve reported in the past, she is not a regular on Fuller House and because of that, it’s easier for the production to not include her in any upcoming stories if that’s what they choose.
New episodes of Fuller House have yet to even start filming, so there is a reasonably good chance that we never end up seeing Lori on that show ever again.
