NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 17 video: First wedding footage!

Judging from the new NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 17 promo (which we have for you to check out below), there’s a pretty good reason to smile if you love Deeks and Kensi. The wedding seems to be happening! Given the fact that Kensi gets to the point where she says “Till Death Do Us Part,” we are slightly less worried that someone is going to come and ruin the ceremony before  the words “you are now husband and wife” are said by the officiant.

Now, let’s get to all of the other good stuff that is in here. For starters, look at the crowd! While we don’t know every single name in attendance, you can see a number of familiar faces in the audience. Also, Deeks’ mom breaks it down at the reception! Sam and Callen walk Kensi down the aisle! The wonderful moments are plenty here, but since this is still a show within the NCIS franchise, don’t be shocked that you’ve also got fight scenes. That just goes with the identity of what this show is … and we really wouldn’t want it any other way.

What matters most to us here is just how seriously the show seems to be taking the big event. There’s a recognition of “this is super important,” which means that they know that messing things up is not really an option. This needs to be memorable, it needs to be heartfelt, and we want some callbacks to the early days of these two. We want to recognize how far they’ve come, but also spend a little bit of time discussing where they’ve been.

Now, let’s talk that mystery driver

Who is in the car that crashes through at the end of the promo? The CBS Promo person is really hyping up that mystery! Unfortunately, there is not a lot of evidence out there at the moment that the person is Hetty, even if we’d really like for it to be. What better way for Linda Hunt to resurface on the show than the time of the Deeks – Kensi wedding! Although after her actual real-life car accident we wouldn’t realyl want to see her having one on the show too. More so it’d be rather lovely if she turns out to be the officiant, but the promo never gives you a good look at who is presiding over the ceremony.

The mystery driver could very well be Anatoli, who has appeared in multiple episodes already and is confirmed for this one as well. Granted, is anyone going to be that excited if the mystery person is Anatoli? No offense to that character, but he’s not someone we would expect casual fans of the show to remember! He’s just a recurring character who doesn’t even really recur all that much. It’s much more impactful if this is someone genuinely beloved, someone who will make viewers fall off their chairs in a state of glee.
