Shadowhunters season 3: How to prepare for the midseason premiere!

Shadowhunters season 3 spoilers

Prepare yourselves — at this point in less than 24 hours, the Shadowhunters season 3 midseason premiere will officially arrive. It’s an amazing occasion, but also an emotional one. Months of campaigning, social-media discussions, and fandom unity have all led up to what could very well be the beginning of the end for the fan-favorite show. It’s a People’s Choice Awards winner, an inspiration, and it’s going to go down in history no matter what happens next.

So how can you best prepare for the greatest premiere-viewing experience possible? Within this article, we thought it would be fun to hand down a few suggestions as one of our last pieces leading up to the episode airing.

1. Before it airs, why not go re-watch the trailer or some sneak peeks– This is a chance to refamiliarize yourself with the world you love so much, and to get a few glimpses of your favorite characters and ‘ships. If it helps, we also have our trailer analysis at the bottom of this article. If you like this, remember to subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube — you aren’t going to want to miss any of our Shadowhunters videos (located at our playlist) all season long!

2. Watch live – This almost goes without saying, but this helps to ensure that Shadowhunters gets off to the best ratings start imaginable — it, of course, helps more if you are a Nielsen family, but we want to see an army of devoted supporters out there, doing what they can to make this show a shining like amidst the forest of competition.

If you cannot watch live (which is understandable — some viewers have jobs, and others watch in territories where doing such a thing is impossible), be sure to check it out as soon as possible, via your official, local broadcaster! the more that we all as viewers help to monetize the series, the greater its actual success.

3. Use the hashtag #Shadowhunters – While there may be a number of other hashtags out there for the show (think #SaveShadowhunters or #ShadowhuntersLegacy), the original #Shadowhunters hashtag is the most important one for tomorrow. The bigger the signal boost with that hashtag, the better it is for the series’ social imprint.

4. Enjoy the ride – It may sound like silly, “of course we’re going to do that” sort of advice, but it is important not to take the show and the journey for granted. There are twelve episodes coming up; be sure to cherish the hard work and the long hours that the writers and producers put into making Shadowhunters the fantastic, intense, and loving series that it is.

What is the goal of all of this?

It remains unclear if a viable season 4 home will ever surface, but in doing these things, you are at least giving the series the best possible chance at success. Even if nothing ever does come of it and the season 3 finale is the series finale, you can know this: You’ve contributed to helping to make sure Shadowhunters ends with a bang. Even if it doesn’t get the lengthy run it deserves, we as viewers can make sure that the ending is one to never be forgotten.
