Following tonight’s super-entertaining premiere, Survivor: Edge of Extinction episode 2 is arriving on CBS in one week’s time! What we know entering it is that Reem Daly is the first person out of the game, and she has decided to head out to the Edge of Extinction — a place that is very different than any that we’ve seen before on the show. It’s really all about survival and seeing how far people are willing to go in order to check around in the game. It’s going to be a tough twist, but also a fascinating one to explore.

So where are things going to go beyond just with the twist? Based on the preview that we saw tonight, it does seem as though there’s going to be a serious thirst to go after one of the returning players — as a matter of fact, David Wright seems to be fine to go after Kelley Wentworth! It makes sense, given that she is a particularly good player and she did have such a memorable run on Survivor Cambodia: Second Chance. We just didn’t think that it would happen this early. All of the returning players are going to be targets, and of course, we do think that this new twist benefits them. They’re used to being out there and playing the game, so they know a thing or two about how to handle the conditions. It’s a little bit easier for them to be able to figure all of this out than it would be some newbies who are out there.
Reem’s going to have a hard time — yet, if she can make it past the first week or so in her new home, we think that things could get a little easier for her. She may become more acclimated to her surroundings and push herself to her limits. We’re really curious in following her story out there just because it’s going to be so unique.
