Arrow season 7 episode 18 spoilers: Is Caity Lotz returning?

Are we going to have a chance to see Caity Lotz back in action as Sara Lance on Arrow season 7? At the moment, that seems possible!

If you look below, you can see via showrunner Beth Schwartz’s official Twitter that the title of the 18th episode is “Lost Canary.” Meanwhile, some of these figurines certainly point towards the possibility of a Sara appearance. These are not a recreation of the Katie Cassidy version of the character — the same goes for the Juliana Harkavy version.

It does make at least logical sense that we could be seeing a little bit more of Lotz on Arrow season 7, mostly due to the fact that Legends of Tomorrow season 4 is already done filming. Meanwhile, Lotz did appear briefly at the end of Arrow season 6 (alongside the 150th episode) and we like to think that the series would like to have her back whenever they possibly can. She does still have plenty of connections to Star City and beyond that, she first started on Arrow before Legends of Tomorrow even started. We’re actually surprised that some of these characters from Legends don’t turn up more often, given that there are some opportunities for it to happen.

While we’re not sure that we can consider some figurines and an episode title as definite proof that we’re going to be seeing Lotz again, this certainly does give us a little bit of hope. She’s one of the strongest characters in the Arrowverse and there’s certainly a fun amount of history that she has with some other characters. (We honestly should be happy to get any potential information at all on the future of Arrow, given just how secretive Schwartz tends to be in regards to spoilers and this show. It does make a little bit of sense, though, when you consider the current course of the season.)

Arrow season 7 is off the air until early March — what makes a possible Sara appearance tricky here, if it even happens, is that Legends of Tomorrow is not going to be back until April. How are these shows going to keep the timeline in order, if Sara appears on Arrow, unless there’s a small way via the script to make things work? That’s just one thing to consider. Sometimes, it can be hard to keep everything a little bit organized given that the Arrowverse is such a complicated place.
