The Bachelor episode 8 spoilers: Hometown date drama for Cassie

Coming on The Bachelor episode 8 next Monday, hometown dates are officially going to be here! With that, we’re gearing up for one of the most dramatic episodes of the season … and we don’t utter this sort of thing likely. Heck, just consider what we saw at the end of the episode with Kirpa and Caelynn. We can’t recall many situations where we’ve seen someone swoop in at the last minute in order to vouch for another contestant! That’s what happened, as Caelynn supported Cassie and following that Kipra went home.

So what is going to happen during the hometown dates? More than likely, quite a bit … and a lot of it is going to start with some major uncertainty for the family members of some of the women still on this season. For example, Tayshia’s father is going to be a little bit intimidating and not immediately welcoming of Colton. That makes sense, given what she’s been through over the past several years. Meanwhile, Cassie’s family is going to be extremely hesitant of having him around, which makes sense given the format.

It’s a lot harder, in the end, for some of the family members to buy in to Colton than it is for some of the contestants. They don’t know him.

At the moment, we do think that both Cassie and Caelynn are favorites to go far, mostly because if you’re keeping someone around even after being told of some possibly-questioning things that they said/didn’t say, you have to think that they are far up on the pecking order. It’s really clear that these two are potential favorites of Colton’s, and we’re a little worried about Tayshia just because of what happened to Kirpa. Clearly, Colton seems to be inclined to but into the other side of the story that he’s getting and that may mean something.
