We posted the first preview for next Monday’s “Storage Wars”-inspired episode of “Castle” just over 24 hours ago; and now, we have something new to share: the official synopsis of what we can expect from the hour titled “Secret’s Safe with Me.”
At first, this episode sounds pretty much like a routine whodunit case based on the description, but as the third or fourth sentence really gets going, it’s pretty clear that we are actually in store for something pretty interesting here:
“When a young woman is mysteriously murdered, Beckett and Castle discover her death may be linked to a repossessed storage unit up for auction. Was the unit connected to her death? Was something inside it worth killing for? The investigation leads Castle and Beckett to colorful Storage Wars-like treasure seekers and Manhattan socialites as they uncover the shocking truth.”
This episode will hopefully go not just a long way in showcasing “Castle’s” increasingly stellar ability to spoof some other shows (see “The Tonight Show or “Dancing with the Stars”), and it also may very well give us an impression of how Castle and Beckett’s relationship is now that the whole “getting straddled by an entertainment reporter” game is over. More than anything else, this seems like the show’s greatest return to some of the fun that executive producer Andrew W. Marlowe was promising us that we would see before the start of this season: there’s an unusual mystery, and hopefully we will have an entertaining time seeing it get solved.
