America’s Got Talent season 14: Premiere date hopes, what we know

America’s Got Talent season 14 may still be a little bit down the road, but we do think it’ll be coming at you before you know it. As a matter of fact, we already know a few different things about this season already!

If you did miss it, the first thing that is worth noting is that season 14 is going to be a little bit different when it comes to the judges. Gone are Heidi Klum and Mel B from the judging panel, and in their place is going to be Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough. These two women have a lot of entertainment experience and a lot of perspective that brought it to the table. With Hough in particular, we know that she is someone who already has reality TV experience on Dancing with the Stars. We are still somewhat surprised about the fact that the show made this change … but that’s mostly due to the fact that the ratings for the show in its current iteration are rather good. There wasn’t any real reason for there to be some sort of change in the panel.

Let’s get back now to discussing the potential America’s Got Talent season 14 premiere date, as the show is going to be coming back most likely in late May / early June — this is the window that we’ve seen here for the better part of the past few years, and while the producers may have changed some things when it comes to the show, we think that the premiere date is something that can be reasonably locked in. There isn’t really all that much of a reason to shift that around.

We know that there have been auditions happening for America’s Got Talent season 14 for some time now, and we’re hoping that there will be more news related to a proper premiere date in either March or April — alongside some sneak previews for some of the contestants who are going to be taking part.

In terms of the format, the good news is that we don’t foresee things changing all that much. We’ve already got an audition pattern that works and we really like the judge cuts.
