The Good Doctor season 2 episode 16 preview: Prepare for ‘Believe’

Want to know what lies ahead on The Good Doctor season 2 episode 16? There is a new episode coming next week entitled “Believe,” and it will continue the struggle of Shaun Murphy when it comes to Jackson Han. The new Chief of Surgery has shown himself to be far from an ally to Freddie Highmore’s character. As a matter of fact, it’s felt more as though he’s undermined him at just about every possible opportunity. These two character at odds, and because of that, it’s possible that much of what Shaun has worked for over the course of several years could be stripped from him. It’s a sad situation, and one that may not get better in the immediate future.

The new chief of surgery, Dr. Jackson Han (Daniel Dae Kim), believes Dr. Shaun Murphy is a liability more than an asset and works to keep him out of the operating room permanently.

As we watch this season progress, we imagine that there are going to be some more twists that surface. We also think that Shaun will eventually find himself supported more and more by some of the other doctors that he’s worked with over the years. While there have been a number of disagreements here, they do know that he is rather good at his job and with that, it only makes some sense that they would do whatever they can in order to help him. We just have to wait and see how this story ends, and we’re crossing our fingers that it winds down for the season in a satisfying way.

Of course, the good news here still remains that there is going to be a season 3 for The Good Doctor on the other side of the drama — that means if there is a cliffhanger at the end of the finale (it’s only a matter of weeks away), there isn’t as much of a reason to fret.
