America’s Got Talent: The Champions season 2: How could it happen?

What’s the biggest problem here? That’s rather simple — the talent pool. You used a lot of the best acts this season! Yet, the ratings were great and you may still want to do everything that you can in order to bring the show back for a little bit more down the line. The challenge is finding the right way to do that … but we’ve got a handful of suggestions below.
1. Bring it back in roughly the same form next year – Maybe you can round up another 50 performers from all over the world for the show, including some of the champions who weren’t a part of it this season. You could re-use some acts from this season.
Another interesting option is use more or less the same people, but next week do the show live with a public vote — we know logistically it’s a challenge, but we wish the show did this for this particular season.
2. Do more of an America’s Got Talent: The Underdogs – There are a lot of great acts who get eliminated before the finale — this happened to Lindsey Stirling and Melissa Villasenor! It may not be the ratings draw of The Champions, but it would be interesting to see a season full of talented people who didn’t make the finale on their season and see how much they’ve improved.
3. Do a World’s Got Talent show – Maybe you just do an international competition using contestants from all over the world — once again, you don’t have name recognition, but at least you are introducing the world to some new acts.
4. Wait two or three years – In 2021 or 2022, for example, there’s probably enough new talent worldwide to do another proper season of this; plus, there are still some acts from earlier seasons of this show who are worthy of being included. Just look at Zurcaroh from this past season; you’ve also got people like Mat Franco and Terry Fator who were not a part of this season. We don’t know if you can get any of these people back, but never say never!
