Below, CarterMatt offers up the official The Good Doctor season 2 episode 17 synopsis with some more news as to what’s coming up next:
“Breakdown” – Dr. Shaun Murphy is desperate to join the team on a dangerous procedure involving a patient’s tumor removal. However, having been removed from the surgery team by Dr. Jackson Han (guest star Daniel Dae Kim), Shaun must use his talents to help figure out the cause of an infant’s injuries on “The Good Doctor,” MONDAY, MARCH 4 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network, streaming and on demand.
It’s easy to feel torn about what the ABC series is doing at the moment. Of course, we don’t like to see Dr. Shaun Murphy struggle, and we have to imagine that it’s going to be very difficult for him to be separated from the operating room. That place is his home, and it’s where he does some of his best work. We feel like a lot of the story for him near the end of the season will be about him doing just about everything that he can in order to prove himself. We know that he’s an exceptional doctor, but are we going to see the hospital’s new Chief of Surgery accept that as he should?
The positive thing about this story is simply this: You’re getting more great material for Freddie Highmore, with Daniel Dae Kim likely joining in here, as well.
