Before we dive into the upcoming episode, let’s spend a moment here focusing on the episode count. Tonight was episode 13, but according to production codes, it seems as though the hour is being counted as two separate episodes. This would make next week episode 15 and that’s what we are going with for now. That’s in line with what some wikis from the show are also doing.
In getting back to the story now, Fox has the official Last Man Standing season 7 episode 15 synopsis with some more news on what’s ahead:
Vanessa “helps” Mandy and Kyle look for their first apartment. Meanwhile, Mike is thrilled when Ryan’s good business decisions have him unknowingly embracing capitalism in the all-new “Arrest Her Development” episode of LAST MAN STANDING airing Friday, Feb. 22 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. This is an episode that does seem to be intent on pushing characters more towards their future or at least have them thinking about the world in a slightly different way than before. There’s some excitement that we’ve got in terms of seeing more of this, given that growth and evolution need to be a central tenet for the series as a whole. Last Man Standing isn’t a show featuring young kids. Many of these characters are grown adults and because of that, we have to see them more or less act accordingly. They have to figure out a way to show new versions of some of these people as they find their own way in life. Mike and Vanessa will still be very much involved, but it’s a different story than when everyone was living under the same roof. It’s really a reflection of what likely goes on in the lives of many families who actually sit down and watch the show weekly.
