Law & Order: SVU season 20 episode 16 preview: ‘Facing Demons’
Is this a slightly different situation than we’re used to? Sure, but at the same time, it’s also not the first time that we’ve seen Benson and Cassidy team up.
Below, CarterMatt offers up the official SVU season 20 episode 16 with some more news as to what’s coming up next:
02/21/2019 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Thursday) : DEAN WINTERS GUEST STARS IN 450TH EPISODE -A young man’s suicide sparks a child molestation investigation, and Benson (Mariska) turns to Cassidy (Winters) when the case hits a dead end. Also starring Ice T, Kelli Giddish, Peter Scanavino and Philip Winchester. Also guest starring William Sadler (Gary Dolan), Selenis Leyva (Samantha Morgan) and Justin Mark (Micah Fuller). TV-14 D, L, V
This episode is going to be basically a chance to see a great guest star step up, and that does seem to be a theme for SVU at the moment. After all, tonight’s new episode is going to mark an opportunity to see Jennifer Esposito — while she’s not as familiar a recurring presence for SVU as Winters, we do think that there are opportunities in which she could appear down the line, depending of course on what happens tonight.
In the end, we’ll have to precisely wait and see what unfolds here, but the title here in “Facing Demons” suggests that there’s going to be a lot of turmoil — but also potentially some redemption. This is a chance for some characters to face their fears and beyond that, see if there is a way in which that they can get to the other side. It’s not going to be easy, but we do think that it’s feasible.
