‘Elementary’ spoilers: ‘House’s’ Lisa Edelstein to join Jonny Lee Miller
As if we were not excited enough to see what more Sherlock Holmes had up his sleeve on the new CBS series “Elementary,” we now have the following of news to share: there is going to be even more Lisa Edelstein coming our way soon!
According to a new report coming to us via TVLine, the former “House” star (who recently guested on “The Good Wife” season 3) is going to be appearing in an upcoming episode of the Jonny Lee Miller drama as a powerful CEO named Heather Vanowen who oversees a major PR company. So how does she become involved with Holmes and Watson? Let’s just say that a bombing is involved, and that her company may have been one of the originally-intended targets of it. Edelstein’s appearance will come in episode 7.
“Elementary” thus far has been just about everything CBS could have hoped for, and it is currently their only first-year series that is packing any sort of major ratings punch. The show debuted to an impressive 3.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which is the second-strongest launch of a new drama series so far this year behind “Revolution,” which has already been picked up for another season. Given that the buzz surrounding this series already seems to be a little bit stronger than its NBC counterpart, we have to say that expectations are pretty high for the same sort of result to happen here (especially considering the poor launches for both “Partners” and “Made in Jersey” across other parts of the week).
Are you enjoying “Elementary” so far, and does hearing this bit of casting news make you that much more interested in seeing where this series is going to go next?

Really hope Elementary’s a hit and turns into several seasons as I was quite disappointed Eli Stone only lasted 2. I’ve followed Miller since Hackers and I really think he’s doing a good job entertaining.

Excellent!. Probably wouldn’t have thought to watch before Lisa E’s casting, though. Can’t wait!

I very much enjoyed the premiere episode and am looking forward to subsequent episodes. I hope that this series will last, for I think Jonny Lee Miller is one of the best of the current crop of actors performing on the large & small screens, as well as in theater.
